Has anyone been up this passage recently? We're sitting at the South entrance wondering what the depths are like and what the tide delay against Gold Coast Seaway times is?

From observation, the delay looks to be about an hour.
We're thinking of going tomorrow morning about an hour before high tide. Its a 1.34m high - we draw 1.3m.

A couple of Cats have gone through today - on pretty much at low tide.

As ever, any advice gratefully received.

If you hit the bottom it is only mud or sand.

Started from Slipping Sands half an hour before Gold Coast Seaway high of 1.34m. Lowest depth we saw was 2m in one spot.

And boty is right - it's pretty.

Basically yes, the tide flow does different things depending on the tide size.

We sailed past all the solitary islands and then picked up one at North Solitary. We picked the one on the north furthest from the island - they are obviously meant for divers as some are really close to the island.

Really pretty and amazing to be so close in. However, very rolly!

We left around midnight to catch the next bar.

Well worth it, but get the calmest conditions possible.
