Hi there guys long time listener first time caller, l was hoping someone has had experience with cavalier 37 keel bolts, can the studs be removed? If replacing the nuts what torque setting is recommended? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Spoke to a Shipwright 18 months ago in Pittwater while on the hard about checking the tension of my 1986 Keel bolts and He said unless there was something wrong with them he wouldn't touch them ?? Not sure if they are replaceable?

Thanks aus005 and CalnDi for the reply, the bolts are in good condition. Removed mast recently and the forward keel bolt was set in resin and got me thinking is it worth reseating it while the mast is out. Chipped the resin out to check the condition, it was slightly damp, the nut and stud look fine, but probably won't get any attention until the mast comes out again, and you change one nut you may as well change them all for peice of mind and thought someone may have changed their nuts without a drama, aus005 its 1988

Yes it is Southace, Solar is 3 x 200 watt panels in series and 2 x100 watt panels in parallel (800W Total) to 600 Ah of house batteries, hope that will meet our 12 volt cruising needs
