Hi,
We might be buying a Cole 23 trailer sailer in the next few days. Have heard they are good - have just learnt to sail and racing fortnightly. Some "yachty friends" have said we will tire easily of it, but we want to crawl before we walk - plus mooring fees, antifouling etc become less of an issue/cost. Will get more serious and will probably upgrade when we can afford it. Its in OK nic - someone with a more professional eye is looking at it today with us. Not sure if it is a Northshore but looks like a standard mould. The trailer has had it so know we might have to replace this and believe it is expensive. Is there such a thing as a "manual" for this boat? and is there anyone out there who has one or has owned one who can give us some ins and outs...
Cheers,
Ally

Careful - I asked a similar question about a different boat and got a few nasty sarcastic replies...
There is generally no "manual" for yachts, best you can hope for is some old plans or specs to detail the origional mast height, beam, length, sail areas, etc. Some dimensions could have changed since the origional too.
Most likely source for this type of info is an association or racing group, essentially other owners. I assume you have tried an internet search, yacht clubs etc.
The most commonly quoted advice about buying boats is "go small, go now". Plenty have waited for the right time and never got there. Hope it all works out.

The cole 23 was built in Qld just north of Brisbane 25 years ago.I have a cole 19 which is based on the 23 it has a hydrolic keel.
If you go ahead with the purchase i can send you the plans if you like.
