we are interested in a 1985 Cole 31, does anyone know any specifics about this particular model of boat. I know Peter Cole designs were well respected. I know it is similar to the Eastcoast 31 but that's about it.

As a 31 footer that yacht has a lot going for it by way of interior accommodation.

Looks like a nice double berth under the cockpit. (probably a better thing than an overly large fwd cabin).

Photos of the fwd cabin are noticeable by their absence.

Adams 31s of the same vintage are about similarly priced.

I think you are looking in the right ballpark for a fast , roomy pocket cruiser that could be taken to the nearer offshore islands (Norfolk, Lord Howe, N.Z. and beyond) if set up correctly and managed astutely.

Keep 'em coming if you are keen sailor.

I sailed as foredeck crew on "Grasshopper" and it wast a good sea boat fast and fun to sail.

Another boat on my short list! When I was selling my fishing business I was held up by lack of immediate funds while Grasshopper was for sale. I was particularly keen on 3 double diagonal cedar yachts for sail at the same time. Grasshopper was the smallest, Vanguard, a Van de Stadt 34, now back on the market and Vivaldi a Kaufman 36. Would have loved to own Grasshopper.
