Hello All

has anyone heard of a Concept 303 yacht?
Who built them?
Who designed them?
Where the many built?
How good is the gel and fibre glass quality....any delamination?

Thanks

Presumably your talking about the one in Batemans Bay?

I can remember probably 20 years ago when I first saw them advertised. I think its a rebirth of one of the seventies hull moulds just tidied up a bit. Seems a good buy but there is a lot of work to go to get this operational. Doubt there would be delamination. Possible there could be osmosis down the track but no more chance than any other fibreglass yacht built in the 80's.
The lead keel, rig and interior fit out would in my mind make this uneconomic. Too many good secondhand yachts about that are extremely good buys.

Thanks Ramona for that. It is indeed the one in Batemans Bay. Yeah...I'm trying to do the sums for putting it together. I am based in WA which doesn't help. But there are a lot of goodies included and the engine alone is worth around $4k. It would be a hobby project for me.

Do you know if there were many built? Researching these boats is a pain. Googling the word 'Concept' is farcial.

Thanks

Just looking at the photos it bears a strong resemblance to a Cole Mutiny 28 with a sugar scoop added.

There's a dinghy called a 303, which is the smaller version of a 505, with crew on trapeze.

But not sure what a concept 303 is, unless its some kind of evolution of the 303

Ramona...Thanks, I'll check it out. Interestingly the broker mentioned that he thought the Concept was a Peter Cole design.

T03Y...No this is a 30ft sailing boat (30'3" actually and hence the name)
