Hi folks.

I'm finally getting around to fitting the Dodger which came with my trailer sailer.

I am however at a loss to figure out how the fittings on the end of the frame tubes are supposed to attach to the fittings on the coach house roof. I suspect I'm missing some intermediate piece.

Can anyone identify the fittings on the boat and what they are supposed to attach to? Thanks in advance.

Pictures attached.

Julian

Rotate that metal bracket 90 degrees, undo the screw, and slot the fitting in top pic into it then replace the screw:)

Bit hard to tell, but I presume the collar with the screw in it can rotate at least 90 degrees so it is pointed upwards (instead of sideways as shown in the piccy), and then the white piece at the end of the strut can be fitted between the jaws of the collar (with the screw/bolt removed) and the screw/bolt refitted to hold the strut in place?

That said, fair chance I have completely misunderstood which parts are which in the photos.

Was sure the metal part had a flat on the bottom but right you are. Feeling kind of stupid.
Thank you.

That is correct and I have it sorted now. Thank you. Feeling kind of stupid :-(.

Too hard on yourself. No harm done and I reckon there's no-one (especially me) who hasn't puzzled over something that someone else went "but hang on, isn't it just,,,"
