Hi there

does anyone have any information about or experience with these French catamarans?

I'm not hopeful, as I think the one mentioned in the link below, is the only one in Oz, however, just thought I'd throw it out to the Forum

The below footage is from youtube. Citation = v=oTjQsl32PL8 so no-one gets their knickers in a twist

Thanks

Its getting along nicely for not much wind (minimal white caps). Lots of hull out the Back, No catwalk (for weight saving), Very large rig. Notice the lack of heel at speed and the ability to walk around the boat without a tether...... Looks good.

Thanks guys....I love this boat...I want this boat!!!!

Reported speeds are inspiring: "10 kns in 10kns TWS with screecher and main. Speeds between 10-15kns in 15kns+ TWS. We have had her up to speeds of about 20kns when racing but never sail at this speeds with the family on board".

I can live with the 5ft headroom in the bridgedeck being only that myself...but a cut and shut on the lid would cost around 15k... plus my skin needs shelter from the sun in the cockpit.

And I'm not sure whether she's a doable singlehander's boat?? (looking at long-term plans).

All those factors tossed in, there's probably better out there? Any suggestions??

thanks

I think my Eureka must read this forum!!!!

Yesterday, in 12 knots TWS, close hauled, she was doing 7.5 knots. Many of you (especially you Hangtime!!) may so woopy do, however, that's pretty damn good for an elderly, hefty lady such as Bad Influence!!

Maybe I'll be keeping her for a bit longer.........just buying a screecher, cruising kite in a sock and adding a prodder!!.

Speed is more than GOOD!!! The quest for it is what drives us to stretch ourselves.

SPEED IS THE ULTIMATE THRILL!!

I regularly sail one of my yachts at 25 to 35 knots in 15 to 20 knots of breeze. Unfortunately I am unable to live on that yacht because it is a land yacht with a 1.9 m length and a 1.5 m breadth, a 4 sq m sail and carries my coccyx 100 mm off the ground.

Most any cruising yacht would have room to carry one aboard. Hint, hint!

A warning to sailors that have not sailed the land yet. Your first sail on the land will irrevocably alter your brain chemistry.

Then there is the other water sailing medium known as ICE. Ain't been there yet but it is on the bucket list.

Yeah its the ducks nuts Cisco, Ive had a go at landsailing and i can see how you would be so passionate about it. For me its flying my hang glider at 140 kmh (Ive overtaken trucks on the Hume highway at 6000ft). When i launched my boat i was hoping it would be fast for a heavy cruising cat and it realy does surprise me sometimes when it gets in the groove. It all makes me happy that i was born in this country in this time/era with no dictator telling me to go to war and with the freedom to do what i want and the fortunate ability to benefit from the industrial revolution that has led to creations like your landsailor and my carbon fiber/Mylar hangglider and all those high speed moths on foils and everything out there that goes fast and faster and even faster than a couple of years ago!
I hope it all doesnt turn to crap for future generations and that things just keep getting better (and faster).

Yep...okay...the woman is fickle...speed is good!!!!

One sail on a fellow forum member's fast cat and that being on a very light day, and all my alliances to my trusty Crowther have gone out the window.

Hhhhhhmmm, now I'm hatching a plan, a very cunning plan!!!! A completely life-changing plan. I am a bad, bad girl!![}:)][}:)][}:)]

I'm in love/lust/life/spirit with this little bit of something French and fast, and I want it sooo bad!!!!!!!!

I've now learned the vendor is negotiable and open to marine trades!!!!!

Who cares about the 5 ft headroom in the bridgedeck!!
The boat's only for my daughters and I. They will leave me once they've grown and forge their own adventures. Then it will just be me..free to do what i want any old time!!! I'm 5ft now, so I can't see any further longitudinal growth happening LOL!

Would've liked galley-up.....ah, maybe in the next life.

Do have to work out sun shelter though..my complexion certainly doesn't complement my passion to sail.

Just have to learn how to sail all over again...different dynamic....what the hell do you do with a rotating mast???????

Wish me luck boys!!!!!!
