G'day, I recently sailed from geographe up to Bunbury. Before sailing I was told I could use a public mooring and where to find it, upon arrival I found the public mooring tagged out of service. I tried to call the local yacht club but never got a response or a return call, and the local dept of transport office couldn't offer me anything either.
Needless to say I was less than impressed, has anyone else had dramas when visiting Bunury, or was my experience a one off maybe?

We've found the lack of public jetties & mooring options to be a hassle in the past, although it has been a few years since we sailed into Bunbury.

KBSC - I've found them VERY helpful, but the club is not always open / manned. If you can get in touch with them in advance of arriving I'm sure they can put in place something or else advise where you can moor.

All the best

Yeh I had done that the week before. I got referred to the public mooring. Then when I tried to call the same mobile number again I had no reply. I have been considering which club to join out of the few local ones, the Koombana bay club in Bunbury isn't lookin so good right now.
