as discussed in the Fairfax Islands, Bunker Group, Qld thread I started, we're heading off early September to mid November.

Surely I can post this seeing it's related to going sailing???

We are now getting desperate to find a housesitter for that time. Have tried all internet sites to no avail and met some freakin freaks in the process.

If you are interested or know someone who is, could you please pm me as soon as possible.

Home is a cute rustic 2 bedroom beach house 300 metres from the beach at Scarborough, Redcliffe peninsula, just north of Brisbane. Amenities = solar hot water; internet access; phone, dishwasher, herb garden; low, low maintenance yard (we'll mow prior to departure and probably won't need doing whilst we're away), convenience stores 300 metres away + major shopping areas on bus routes; cafes/restaurants/pubs/RSL/boating club within 4 km; plus negotiated use of 2007 diesel Citroen C3 .

Major priority is carer and companion for 3 cats.......god, this is where i'm going to lose most interest but they're important to me -- 2 spritely youngsters + an elderly Himalayan that spends her life Sloth-style.

Ideally would like someone not working who is willing to spend a lot of time with the cats.

Like I said, getting desperate...........DH won't have them on board........so if you or someone you know is interested, please pm.

Bill mention that you are after house sitter from September to November, i have just sold my house and have to be out on the 13th September and have to find somewhere to live for 6 months while my new home is being built.

though you wanted someone who did not work, i do work at Clontarf and do love cats as i have to 2 for nearly 18 years so i have plently of time for them.
