Hi all
I was going down to boat today for a sail and needed to fill the metho stove cylinder.
I saw that the wife was throwing out a liquid washing up detergent bottle, you know the ones with the clicky lid that pulls in and out. So i thought great i can take some metho down to the boat in that, as it shouldn't spill and may prove easy to pour the metho into the stove holding tank.
So i get on board and am more excited about going for a sail than filling the stove. After a while when under way like all good sailors I think of a nice cup of tea. Then i realise I haven't filled said tank and the stove won't light. Out comes the detergent bottle which while keeping the top closed i up end on to the tank filler hole, which is just the right size for the bottle top. I click it open and fill tank while doing 7 knts out through the heads in a bit of a seaway. not a drop spilt I close the clicky lid, fire up the stove and bobs your uncle its cuppa time.
So I can recommend you keep a few of these liquid detergent bottles handy as they don't leak and can pour liquid exactly where it is needed with out mess. No need for funnels or any other crap.
Great result and great day had by all

Aloha
