Motoring back from Sydney to Bundeena I noticed a slightly unusual smell from the exhaust.
There was no wind and I just got a 'whiff' of something a bit unusual.
I thought I might be getting to the bottom of the tank and burning some rubbish in there.
It may be nothing, lets hope so.
The motor always starts well and doesn't have other symptoms.
I filled a container with six litres yesterday and will put that in my boat next time I go out
As soon as I am allowed out I will fill up and know more accurately the tanks size and the litres used per hour.
It was another wonderful day on the water here yesterday with around forty boat moored at gibbon beach.

As NSW sailor says, each horsepower will consume about .1 of a litre per hour.

I bought six litres at the garage yesterday which will tide me over as as an unnecessary trip to Cronulla is not a healthy option at the moment.
I usually run the motor at about seventy five percent maximum revs and the hull is clean. I Will post after I get a full tank and then we will know.

I filled my fuel tank up today.
I put 77 litres in and ran the motor for 52 hours.
That around 1.5 litres per hour.
I'v got to be happy with that.
I have done some motorsailing in it.

You seem to be the the right place and I imagine its starting to get warmer there.
You have a lot to look forward to.
Back here more people are walking together and have time to talk at a distance.
Most are counting their blessings.
We probably all should do that.
My daughter after holidays is going back into ED as a specialist, but they don't have the equipment they need.
They are reusing masks etc.
Its admiral but worrying as a parent.

I still had ten litres in the tank so I guess no problems with dirty fuel.

I think you will get different opinions about this one.
Here is mine.
You have a proven 52 hour range.
I think you should be satisfied with that and work with it an extra 5 litres will extend about 3 hours.
If you can store the fuel where it won't leak and is out of the way I would keep it but pour it into the tank every 6 months so it doesn't get forgotten and too old. If it is anyway a hassle, don't worry. The other point is if you end up somewhere where there is no bowser at the jetty you will need to have fuel delivered by truck (and pay a delivery fee) or have a plastic 18 litre fuel container that you can ferry the fuel in. A 5 litre container would be useless for that. So work out where you can store an 18 litre container, 12 hours extension.

You can spend a lot of money on an extra tank, cocks fuel lines and filters, but you still end up thinking , "Is 100 hours of motoring enough?"

2 crewmen aboard the USS Ronald Reagan ( compliment of 6000) have tested positive and all of Yokosuka naval base is on lockdown.
Also 30 members of the USS Theodore Roosevelt have come down and the ship has pulled into Guam. (compliment 5600)
The US navy in the Pacific Ocean is effectively isolated. Not sure what that really means.
