Reading the comments in these interviews I came across the fun to suck ratio, one guy reckons that a 80% fun to 20% the other is a good balance.

I'd say a broad/beam reach 15 to 20 kts day after day with nice seas would boost the fun ratio a fair bit, but a sea cock giving way would suck not to mention the mast coming down.

In your opinion whats fun and what sucks?

In my opinion, anything one does to his sail boat, be it fixing it up or sailing it to the max is fun.

What sucks is doing anything on a sail boat when it is raining.
