i'm trying to track down a suitable waterproof rubber-safe grease to use on our rubber stuffing box.
does anyone have any recommendations?

I installed this seal a few years ago. It works very well. Remember to "burp" the air out of the rubber boot when you first put the boat in the water or after any repairs.
Any waterproof grease will work. I cannot recall the name of the grease I used but it was nothing special (apart from being suitable for use in water) - maybe it is mentioned in the installation instructions for the seal?

thanks for the info.
Volvo have their own grease for it, but i can't find anywhere i can buy it from.
there are various types of waterproof grease around, but apparently not all are rubber-friendly...
