Would anyone know how much or have experience with getting a 32 up to 40ft yacht from Brisbane to Perth?

Time not critical, more a cost factor.........

Or is it not worth considering???

The way the market is these days the best bet is to buy a WA yacht! Trucking yachts up and down the East coast is reasonable because there is plenty of back loading, not sure about going West.

A few years ago I looked into doing it the other way (Perth to Brisbane) and for a pro to do it, I was quoted fifteen grand (or thereabouts) from each of the three people I rang before I realized it was a stupid idea.

I was quoted 14K to have someone bring a 40ft mono around the top.
Boats are expensive in Perth and depending on what you are going to spend it can still be an option.
Not a lot of boats on the market here in Perth so you do not have the choices either. I have bought on the east coast and am bringing it around my self in my spare time. I am in no hurry and I may take some time around Indonesia and the Kimberly. Not much to see going south from there though

We did it about a year back, 36'. Trucking alone, one way, will be at least $7K, even more of you are oversized - Our yacht came just within most of the escort requirements. Then add lifting, unloading, de-rigging, packing mast, etc, plan on well over $10K. In hindsight, we should have taken the keel off. Adds some work & $$$ each end, but makes trucking much simpler.
