Hi All,
I am fairly new here so take it easy on me. I have been trying some kitesurfing but than I buggered my knee and can't do it anymore so I am looking for alternatives.
I have noticed there are some small collapsible/inflatable catamarans out there like Smarkat, Minicat, Ducky and similar.
Does someone has any experience with these types of crafts?
I am new to boating and want to give it a go and I really like that these inflatables will fit in a car, are easy to store etc.
Any feedback would be great.
Cheers

Hi there
we imported one from the U.S. just to muck around on with the kids.
This one (Eagle) did not sail at all, we used the paddles mostly, and having said that, it did not paddle that great either.
They are a great idea in theory, our experience with this one at least was a bit average.
Cheers

Thanks guys. The kite-cat looks quite interesting ;-)
I was looking at the Seaeagle and they seem to be more floppy than the alternatives. However fair bit cheaper too. Will ring few people around and try to find out bit more.
Any other opinions?

Tried Smartkat, seen Minicat. Not impressive at all, if you want something inflatable, kayak is the better option.

Hi George,
I have seen Minicat on pictures only but found a guy who took me out on a Smartcat. I quite enjoyed it actually.
Why do you think kayak would be a better option? I am not a big fan of paddling on a flat water...
