I've bought a couple of small 32Ah from Jaycar and don't work them hard but love the portability. Tuck the battery under one arm and the electric outboard under the other. One on charge on the boat one at home.

Yep there is a few issues and (I am certainly no expert!!! ). with the way lithium absorbs power and protecting the alternator which I believe can be fixed by running a dc to dc charger between the alternator.
And I know they are cheaper in the long run but @ $1600 for a battery that's quite a outlay !! There is cheaper ones but not sure of the quality ???

GenZ, based in Perth I believe. Designed and assembled here in Australia. They have been extensively tested in all different scenarios and they just perform. Sa power networks did heaps of testing on them and are now rolling them out to replace their existing setups. BHP are using them in remote monitoring situations and the military are also using some I heard. Their bms is designed to drop straight in to existing setups, so no need to upgrade your charger. I have 10x100ah in my boat, absolutely love them. If you want any more info or can't find a retailer get in touch and I might be able to help you

I sent them a email they haven't got back to me yet, I think I'm going to go with ev power, I made the fatal mistake last night of mentioning to my girlfriend what else we could run if I upgraded the battery bank !! she has grand ideas maybe I could rig a battery monitor to show a false reading
