Hey,

We are a couple of Belgians, Aurelie and Fabrice (26 and 27 years old) who travel around Australia for 6 months (we`ve arrived at Sydney in September)
Now we are at Airlie Beach and we would like go on cruise near the Great Barrier Reef. We go to the North so maybe a cruise in the Whitesundays or around other islands.
We`ve seen a lot of possibilities to visit the Whitesundays but all very expensive and we would like to avoid organised touristic crew where we are very depending of the schedule.
We`re searching for some freedom, autonomy, maybe discover some places "not well-know", meet people by more "convivial" way and if we love a place, stay on it more than an half hour ;0)

The idea of boat hiring seems great for us but we have no experience at all of sailing. So we looking for people who want to share this kind of trip, or who could give us some advice for navigation. We are of course ready to paid fees (food, fuel) and to work on a ship (cooking, cleaning, ...)

If you are also in the area and prepare a cruise, maybe can we share some good time together (we speak french as expert and english as beginner)

See you

Aurelie and Fabrice

PS: we are windsurfers (Aurelie as beginner and Fabrice as intermediate) so if you do some kitesurf or windsurf and if you know some good spots near Great Barrier Reef...(we have our materials)

Just go to the Airlie Yacht Club and ask around. There are always dozens of yacht captains looking for crew like yourselves.

If you are lucky one might even pay you so he can listen to your travelling anecdotes and get lessons in cunning French linguistics.
