no doubt some you may have seen this advertised NS33

Anyone kniw now any information about the boat or the obvious damage before I pay a surveyor to look at it?

I have inspected the boat and the rest of it (other than paint job which is peeling off?) looks ok.

my boat used to be moored near by . paint looks much worse than in the photos it looks like a reasonable boat minus the paint.
keel would be worth inspecting there a bolt on type and I think made of cast Irion

I owned a 86 NS 33 and the paint was in almost as new condition.
For the life of me I can't explain the condition of the paint in this instance.
Every other NS boat I have seen the paint has been okay so what has happened here?

Yep cast iron keel. Mine had keel bolts checked professionally but every time I lifted her out there was some weep age so I cut and faired.
The ship wright, Robstans RBYC, assured me everything was good to go.

The NS33 was pretty bullet proof, not SS34 tough but good build quality.

Don't know how much new paint would cost but check normal things like engine and sails as these are big ticket items.

I think you can possibly find really good examples at the 45 to 50 range.
Do your sums and see if the risk is worth it.

Can't be certain on structure of NS 33 deck but I have a NS 27 and I replaced the old hatch and took some photos of the core. It was a rigid foam type;

Especially smart getting a smart man like me to look at your boat before you came up to buy it. You got a great boat at a bargain price.

I have not forgotten about the photos. I have at least 6 projects going on at any give time. They are coming hopefully this year.

If I get south you owe me a day out on your fair "I Forgot the Name of Your Yacht" and of course if you get north, I will afford you the same courtesy on the fair "Second Wind". She should be back in the drink before Christmas.
