Looking for someone who would like to spend some time sailing in the vicinity of Hervey Bay!! a few days to start with. or anywhere for that matter. I am about 60% proficient (well that's what I think is a fair estimate!).

You might try the backpacker hostels. Be very picky and choosey about who you take though. If you pick a couple of girls travelling together you will likely have less problems than with males aboard who tend towards egotism.
