So sailing after what date?
The Neds Beach BBQ is on Tuesday 20 Nov.
Weather permitting depart Sydney Tuesday 13th (early, stay onboard Monday night with a feed onboard or at Drummoyne Sailing Club). Get to Lord Howe Friday or maybe Saturday. High tide Friday is 1536 at 1.51m. We couldn't get in later than about 1600. Next opportunity is about 1530 Saturday.
Spend a couple of days onboard in the lagoon and then maybe ashore for Monday and Tuesday nights, or only Tuesday night. Getting back to the boat at night after the BBQ in any but the calmest conditions isn't safe.
Depart Lord Howe Wednesday (weather permitting) on the tide at 0725 and back in Sydney by Sunday or so. If we miss that tide we should make it out that evening on a 1931 tide of 1.77m and 1905 sunset
I am overseas, back Friday but then off to Adelaide until 26 Oct.
The only maintenance I am aware of right now is to replace a section of corroded stainless pipe in the exhaust. She is booked for a slipping on 7 Nov at Gladesville for an anti foul and an insurance survey.
I'll do an inventory of tools and spares etc and complete any other work that arises before the slipping.
Once all that is done and she is seaworthy a one day shakedown sail.
If all good stock up fuel, water and victuals.
It s going to be a busy time but I'm hopeful it should work out.
