Blimey, getting around all the different State rules is doing my head in.

Right, I'm a few miles from Queensland. I'd intended to get a porta pottie or similar to conform to Qld regs. However, I see that if you have a fixed toilet you MUST have a macerator, even if you are not going to use it.

I have a manual Jabsco, can I simply fit an electric macerator between the toilet and the skin fitting or will this ruin the manual toilet pump?

I've searched online for ages, but can't find the answer.

If yes, would before or after the vented loop be better.

You can get an electric conversion kit. This is 24v however the page also identifies 12v option - but a new electric toilet would be cheaper. Trying to add an electric macerator between manual toilet and skin fitting would be very tricky, likely even more messy, unless you add the macerator as pump out from a holding tank.

Then after reading Jode5 comments about the jabsco electric they don't sound to good either. I want to keep the chances of something going wrong with the unit to a minimum thus might be somewhere skimping won't pay off. Some might be able to pass on experience with the different brands.

Have had TMC installed last 5 years with the only issue being a baby wipe put in it, which wrapped around the blades of macerator , other than that good as gold !

Two dogs, my tmc aint bad at all, not the worlds best, but not the most expensive either. If you want to do a test run prior to a possible purchase you know where the boat lives, call me and arrange a time.

Ahh....NO and I've found it best to flush No2s before flushing paper. [you can work that out]

And no tissues or kitchen paper wipes!
