This is a pre 2000 unit so it does not take the current date. That does not seem to be a problem though as I suspect it does not have much of an almanac in it's software.

If you put the correct time of day in it, it will look for the right satellites, pull up 5 or 6 of them and give you a lat and long in reasonably short order (90 seconds if you use it often, takes about half an hour if it has not been live for a while).

It has a satellite page and a nav page which will take waypoints and routes.

I have compared it to my Garmin 72H and it brings up the same position within a ****teenth.

Takes 2 AA bats which seem to last well and it comes with external power cord as per pic.

First to PM me has it and I will even pay the postage. It is too good a thing for the bin so I hope somebody can make use of it.
