Anyone got one gimballed? We have one set of gimbal holders but thinking it needs two. There are 2 holes drilled in the grill side and thinking you fit an arm to each and join them together in a v at the bolt that's fitted to the boat console. So I need 4 arms and the pack only comes with 2 so 2 packs needed. Does that sound right?

Boat is fitted with a bolt on each side of the consol to fit the gimbals to.
The stove has two holes on each side, 4 drill holes in total, neither one of which is in the middle and the stove is heavier at the back than front anyway so to be balanced the point it swings would have to be towad the back.
The gimbals come in pairs from Whitworths. Each one only has one hole at each end so I am assuming one at the top to fit on the bolt and one at the bottom to screw onto the stove.
So unless I am doing something wrong I need 2 pairs ie 4 in total one pair fitted to each side of the stove to form a triangle that fits onto the bolt

I have a maxi 3 burner with gimble. The gimble is a single metal arm on each end.

Mine doesn't work well. ie the pivot point is not high enough for the stove to sit ok. I realise lengthening the arm will make the stove move through a bigger arc which may not be workable.

My solution, which I haven't tried yet, will be to put shot bolts onto the face of the stove and fix the stove at whatever angle of heel is workable up wind. So far my ever faithful pressure cooker with it's deep sides and lid has worked ok.
