Hey guys. I'm a armchair sailor trying to budget a 25' to 30' keeler. The only prices I can find on google are for marina berths, which are out of my budget. What do you guys pay for your moorings? Are moorings harder to find than a boat? Sorry for the noob questions. Any advice is welcomed.

You may be able to find a free mooring somewhere as some folk are just happy to have a boat bouncing up and down on one to keep as much crap off them as possible,
Been there, done that

Some marinas have poverty pack spots for your size boat with limited use of power etc for much the same price or less... but you have to look for them

Ring qld maritime, they will let you know where the moorings are available. There is a waiting list for the popular areas
It cost me $52 a year for permits and you just have to service your own tackle
