I have a person interested in Morning Bird and, after considering what is best for her, will sell to him or elsewhere for the right offer. I don't intend advertising her just yet as my wife and I are heading to Canada next week for about 6 weeks.

A sad time but I haven't sailed her properly since Lord Howe in 2016 and doubt I will get out much in the future. I have kept up the maintenance and she just needs a shakedown sail or two to be ready for some serious sailing.

I am hopeful the buyer will take up my offer to crew her to Lord Howe this year, I have a North Passage mooring allocated.

All the best with that project MB. Whoever buys her will get just the best boat. Good Luck.

Well we have agreed a price and other conditions so it looks like I will be boatless for the first time in 20 or so years after I get back from a trip to Canada.
Mixed feelings.
I haven't been using her and getting crew committed for my Lord Howe trips has proven understandably difficult.
While fully seaworthy with a couple of shakedown sails MB needs cosmetic attention. The new owner is keen, energetic and has boat time so she will be looked after.
I will crew with my sister on her Valiant 40 when she next heads north, and maybe further afield.
Maybe Havefun will have his Northshore 33 ready for Lord Howe later this year.
I will help the new owner sail her to Melbourne later in the year. If anybody wants to join us let me know.

Congratulations!, but I bet you'll be sad to see her go.
Depending on the timing, I'd certainly be interested in joining you on the delivery. A great chance to get some more offshore miles, especially with somebody as skilled as yourself.

Very kind of you but there are plenty with more sea miles than me.
It will be up to the new owner but I would think Sep/Oct will be about right for the trip south.
Should be great to Eden. Then wait for a weather window to Lakes Entrance or Wilsons Prom. Then another wait.

I'm in Canada right now having just got back into Vancouver from Vancouver Island.
Except the water never gets above 12 degC the cruising around here would be fantastic in the right boat. A lot of places with nowhere to resupply but the scenery is remarkable. Quite a few yachts around although it is early in the season.
