Morning Meg would be a good title for a poem, I'll start with the first verse.

The soft morning light glistens through the white sail
Silence of the dawn contrasts the nights laughter fuelled by the now empty keg
My pain within my head will not cause my love to pale
I roll over and embrace my love and say Morning Meg.

Who wants to have ago at the next verse!

That could be dangerous territory.

Good start to a sailor's sonnet though. Second line is classic.

If your fond of poetry I suggest you look away now......

Meg replied with a shout and a right to my jaw ,
Before I knew it I was on the floor .
"Who the hell are you?, What a hell of a fright!
I really don't remember a thing from last night!"

But since you're here, guess I'll put you to work,
you can tighten the stanchions and brasso the ports .
I've needed a Bosun for my pirate ship at Sea ,
If you keep the keg full, I'll take you on for free !

I'll keep it going

No way Meg, I see through your shallow plan
I'm more than just your polishing boy Stan
You'll have to keep the keg full if you want me stay
If not I'll set sail and be on my way

You'll walk the plank,
Not sail away,
As there's one thing you've forgot,
It's my ship a sail !

Surely we can find some middle ground
To walk the plank is a long way down
What if I buy Monday's keg
And you buy Friday's Meg

Come on guys help me out here she's got walking the plank!!

Fine....the middle ground,
I'll lay it out,
Monday thru Sunday it'll be your shout!!
And any day that ends in Y I think it oughta be,
A day that you'll bring my morning cuppa tea,
But cos I'm not selfish and it's not all about me,
When I'm done with the bag I'll let you use it for free .

All of sudden the plank is not that bad
I will not be with someone who makes me sad
Distant memory soon all I will be.
Farewell as I set sail for the open sea

Where the Dolphins and wind run wild
With only the morning sun for my smile
Life on the sea is not for two
Being one often saves the blues

The Mermaids came and we weren't to blame
What went on was really a shame
Given the chance I'd do it again
But next time, I wont give my name

No, no sleep in just busy in the middle of a fairly intensive course for work so head down .
Don't play chess, do love backgammon and board games though

As for retired, which seems too far away to seriously be contemplating, it'd be nice to have a bit more free time in a day (or as I often think, be two of me so one could work while the other relaxed and did the fun stuff :)) but I think going to work gives us a purpose in life, so even retired I think I'd like to do something even if it was just walking dogs for people or volunteering at something.
