I recently purchased a new second hand Muir Atlantic 850 winch photos below



Its packed ready to go on Monday for delivery to me . But whats puzzling me is I think it should have a gear box mounting flange so when the gear box is slide into place as well as a cir clip on the shaft to retain the gear box it is also mounted under the deck .
To me looking at it if I powered it up the gear box would turn on the shaft
Just had a thought Dr rog posted a couple of photos a while ago Ill see what I can find

HG, did I it come with a manual? If not, it looks like it might be the same as mine. I have the manual handy and I could scan and email you a copy.

I have a PDF I got off Muir but I dont have the serial number of the muir winch so I can't be absolutely sure by the PDF off Muir there's a spacer number 26 on the PDF page the page number was 14 I think

This is the older model made out of bronze I think 2012 maybe they changed to stainless steel removed the Atlantic 850 and now sell a storm 850 instead
The one I bought has a grease nipple for lubing the shaft one of the reasons I bought it
