The bad and sad news that we haven't yet made it back down to yummo Yamba. We have, however, been sailing locally a bit and ventured a couple of hours north to Tipplers this week sailing up and back with tides being with us. This new main has turned our little Westwind into a new boat. Thanks for all the comments guys as it is all proving to be true - We can sail higher, faster and less sliding even with the shoal draft. And, we are achieving speeds not thought possible prior. We cruise at 5-6 knots in a 10 knot breeze now, and on the return leg with tide assisting us we achieved 8.2 knots, and averaged 7.4 knots for a couple of miles !It's like I'm in a dream and I don't want to wake up from it haa!
As my good wife says - " Yamba will wait for us and it will be worth the wait."
Steve.

Keep going North Steve, there's a beautiful bay up there with lots of sheltered anchorages. Glad you've sorted the main.
Cheers
Ken
