The final installment of my Port Lincoln trip took us across the North Coast of Kangaroo Island from Western River Cove to American River, then home across Backstairs Passage in 35 knots.

Hi Scruzin, Most interested in your journeys aro' S A. I'm planning to pass thro' S A next year and the detail of cruising anchorages is well received.

Indigo is now in Brisbane and tripping out to Cato Is this year. Failed miserably last year due to a needless prop fouling problem !!

And are we the only two multis on Seabreeze ? Cheers, Bob P.S. Am speaking to an " expert ", on offshore communications eg Satphone , next week. I'll report findings.

Thanks AusCan. I've also started this summary page on my blog. Very much a work in progress though.

Hi BobFord,

Multihulls are certainly the minority group! I don't understand why cats are not more popular in SA though, as they're the perfect vessel for these waters. So many of our best anchorages are either shallow or exposed to swell - not a problem for multihulls, but often uncomfortable for monos.

Keep me posted on the offshore comms.
