Does anyone know where to connect the water pipe to the motor for a PSS shaft seal? The D1 30 appears not to have a connection point for this. I know they prefer people to use their brand seal but I want to use the PSS type.
Thanks
The water feed to the seal is usually tapped into the raw hot water hose that exists the heat exchanger /engine and goes to the exhaust elbow. Some sort of tee is used. It is now important to carry the water that continues out of the tee (that would normally go to the exhaust mixing elbow ) ,,above the water line and through an anti syphon loop and back to the exhaust elbow. The loop above the water line will stop the PSS line back feeding water into the exhaust and flooding the engine if the motor and mixing elbow are situated below the water line.
