I've done a search on the forum but can't find the info. Does anyone have a rough idea on the cost of repainting the hull of a 35' yacht. As an alternative, because the paint is looking flat and dull, what would be the best way to make it shiny again?
thanks,
Frank

An S&S34 is about $10-12,000 for a top sides paint. I expect another $6-8,000 for a deck paint. This is based on a topsides costing $8-10,000 8 years ago.

Gulp!
in my mind I'd guessed about half that - cut and polish sounds perfect...
thanks for the info

Could be under $500 for the topsides if you do the job yourself,, depends on type of paint you choose, plus haul out/ hardstand fees if you go down that path

Adelaide, Twodogs. Haven't got the boat yet but putting together the figures on one I'm looking at. An older one to fix up or a newer one better fixed than the old? It seems that yachts eat more than old cars when renovating!

Had my 28ft boat repainted 2 years ago, top and hull, quotes ranged from $12,000 to $20,000. I took it to a truck yard on a trailer and they did it for $6,000.
Bear in mind that most of the topsides will be covered by non-slip, which is rolled/sprinkled over the top of the sprayed. Next time I would be tempted to to do the whole lot myself using rolled 2 pack.
