Please excuse the NON yacht talk, The mains come down the mast to a block then to 4 flat rollers (have a set on each side, the other side are [plastic) any way had trouble winching the trisail and found that that rollers (brass) were not rolling, I backed the screws (in the centre) off, not much better, Could not find nuts in side, unless their under the paneling, didnt want to go further, Are the screws, screwed to the bracket then through to nuts ????????

Perhaps the brackets are threaded you could try some vinegar on them as they are brass it might help to free them up.
Id keep soaking them, even if you could some how put some thing around the pulleys to make a dam so the vinegar soaked in to the bear part of the pulleys
