I am running a C-MAP ENC in my plotter with success in the last few years. It is based on WGS84 datum and so, it is very close to paper charts, which l also have.
This C-MAP thing is not a yearly renewable system like Navionics, you can refresh it or not for a fee, otherwise, once you paid for it is yours, which l like.
Whitworth is selling it so quite a few must be in use.

Jepoesens the mother company of C-MAP has an app. called Plan2Nav, and this is the subject of this thread. I am trying to use it on my galaxy note book and my home pc but it is not cooperating.
Did any of you fellow navigators had any experience with this app?

On the first screen after opening the app. is a warning, " If you experience problems with this program, ring or email Jeppessens instead of discussing it on the web" which l find very unusual.
The app. is so slow and temperamental that it is impossible to use with success. I also downloaded Navionics and it is working fine, so l am able to plot on it and modify the route. Not so on Plan2Nav.
After ringing Jeppesens nothing changed, they are not able to help, telling me that it should work...others using it...blah ...blah...

I am patiently wasting my precious data to make this app. work to no avail.
I know about other apps of course, but l want to solve this mystery.
Any help? Any ideas?

Thanks Toph but l have to draw your attention to the fact, that l have no problems with Jeppesens nor CMap on my plotter!

Whoever l have a huge problem with Jeppesen,s Plan2Nav app. WHICH IS NEXT TO USELESS!

I am no expert on these things but I had it on my iPad for a while but it kept crashing randomly. I had the latest gear, software and updates. I became annoyed and stopped using it. I decided to try something else.

I use iSailor now which I'm very happy with.
