Hi, I've think I've seen a post on here before but I can't locate it to remove old rego numbers and glue.
I want to make sure that once cleaned there is no residue from the cleaner that exists so I can apply new stickers.
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you

She's on a mooring, so no on the hair dryer. Okay on the Eucalyptus Oil, I guess a plastic scraper, any ideas on a softening liquid to soften the baked on stickers?

I remove vehicle signs on a regular basis.
Soften with heat gun, which you have said you cannot do.
Scrape away with old credit card or plastic scraper whilst hot.
Remove excess with turps or Euc oil.
Use metho to clear away turps/oil if you wish.

If you cannot use heat gun, wait till a hot day to soften the vinyl or just slowly scrape away. DON'T be tempted to use a blade!!

Thanks Valo. So the method will make the surface clean ready to apply new stickers.

If you have a battery drill, google caramel wheel, these things are magic for removing gummy decals, without causing damage to you hull. The friction from the spinning wheel effectively transferes the gum and remanents of the decal from your hull to the wheel, easy!

They look the go. Wouldn't want to do it out on the water though. Enough plastics in the ocean as it is!
