ok not so much sailing but this arvo I watched a local motor boat heading out for a spot of fishing. A hour later I seen the sea rescue heading out,
I switched on the marine radio and sure enough they where calling up the Riv named Sledge hammer. But as usual they where having radio issues and the last I heard was they where organising a tow line And I assumed they had just run out of fuel or had dirty fuel as that seems to be the trend in this town.
well to my shock it made the 2nd story on 7s 6pm news. Apparently they hit a rocky outcrop and was stuck fast with the outgoing dodge tide tonight!
I will post a pic if there's enough light at 6.30 am tomorrow.

As an ex-South Aussie McN a dodge tide happens at certain times when only one tide in a day occurs. I suppose it's all due to the moons pull
etc. but when it happens thats a 'dodge tide'.
