If I where to sell a mainsail belonging to a mirror, how much should I sell it for? It is definitely not a racing sail, but it still is in good condition

Thanks.

Would guess in the range of 50 to 100 dollars, not much worth unless in brilliant shape

Keep tabs in this section of eBay;

http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/Sailing-Gear-/31281/i.html

You could also contact Alan at ;

stores.ebay.com.au/Secondhand-sails-and-accessories?_trksid=p4340.l2563

Don't expect too much for them though. I would just list them on Ebay and see how they go. I have bought and sold several sails this way. I have also bought a couple of sails off Alan and his descriptions are fairly good.

The issue with an older Mirror sail is that they used to be a gunter rig and now most of the new boats and racing boats have normal bermuda rigs and the mainsails are different.

If it's near new it might be worth $200 max but otherwise closer to $100.

There are still some guys racing with the gunter main but mainly at club level. Might be worth posting on a few WA clubs notice boards where Mirrors are sailed.
Try Claremont and Freshie in Perth and Princess Royal in Albany.
