I don't have a license so probably should not comment but I have a HF radio. Caught the weather the other day on 4426. Presume the frequencies on that link are just weather related. No mention there of 2182.

BROWNSMTRACE said.. Thanks guys for sharing I thought 2182 had been would up
2182 is still listed but along with 2187.5 is no longer monitored by the US coast guard. Just a little curious what the new international distress frequency is?
2182 is not a ssb modulated frequency and was set as a emergency frequency as it was so common ssb modulation means use of tramission power is much more efficient so call on 4125 as distress frequently
Ramona do you have ssb on board ?. I only have a receiver which I enjoy listening to
My boat is an old Syd/Hobart racer and has a SSB Hf with all the required frequencies used at the time. The ground plate is copper sheet that goes from gunwale to gunwale under the engine. I don't use it but occasionally I turn it on to check it is still working and caught the forecast the other day on 4426.
