Bunnings would be your best bet today
They have a range of "Dans 316 S/S screws ,nuts and bolts . I bought some 5/16 bolts and stainless nyloc that other day from a Chandler they were a bit of a disappointment 3 out of 4 worked the other bound up . I now have to cut the b88ger off and replace it.
Bunnings also carry the cheaper 304 s/s screws in larger quantities.
I have found Bolt shops are very reasonable , but even here in Vic theres not many open on Sundays some for the mornings
Id say your spot on here, Managed to find a chandler open today... but the quality of the bolts were crap! had a few bind up on me which now i have to cut them off.....grrr
I had to do the same thing today was not a happy chappy. From now for me its either Bunnings for Dans s/s bolts and screws or the local bolt shop when I need a box . Dam hard thing to remove a counter sunk 5/16 Phillips head with a binding stainless nyloc.
Bolts and thread are not what they used to be same with drill bits all crap now . Even threads don't have the same starting pitch like they used to.
Caterpillar bolts and nuts are still good quality problem I have is after tightening those up and then try and tighten some Chinese bolts and nut I snap the little Bug*8rs
