If you include windsurfing - which is much more conducive to anchoring - almost everywhere...but stoked to have pb speed sailing times at: entrance to American River (along the channel aka shark alley); off Reevesby Island (in lagoon); northern sand bank tip of Thistle island; cruising the bay at memory cove; teaching kids at Emu Bay, Rapid bay; and of course on almost any Seasterly at Sellicks, Seacliffe, semaphore or across the gulf at Stansbury Spit; Black Pt; Pt Vincent bank.
OK - very sth Aussie of me, but windsurfing and sailing always go well together on a summers afternoon! Morning Sail, followed by afternoon windsurf! Hmmm when is summer coming around?
That Port Lincoln area with all those islands looks pretty cool. I recon I'd be windsurfing rather than kiting down there too, so I could out run those sharks.
