These molds have the later deck version where the 36 deck was used on the 32 as well, often referred to as a the long deck version. I'm not suggesting anyone build one from scratch as this would be an expensive exercise compared to buying a secondhand one set to go. Always been a fan and missed out on a particularly nice 32 a couple of years ago. There were a lot of 32's built, more than half were built by enthusiasts who hired the molds and did all the lay up themselves. In later years the molds ended up on the North coast where a different company hired out the molds. Can't imagine people doing that these days! Friend of mine and his mate hired the Swanson 42 molds in the early seventies when the molds were in Sydney. They laid up the hull deck and cockpits during their fortnight leave[navy]. Had the lot trucked to Nowra to HMAS Albatross air station and set the lot up where the air museum is now. They had to fit deck bearers for the deck and install the cabin and cockpit. Only trouble was they were both short! When I walked through the cabin I belted my head on deck beams.
