Hi All,

My wife is wanting a holiday to Tasmania, we have never been before.
If I must leave my yacht and shed for a Grizwalds vacation, then my condition of travelling
is that I would like to sail a couple of days in the time we are away.

I've got two kids - 11+13 - comfortable on boats as long as water is sheltered.

I guess I'd like to sail from Hobart to the sea and back again, tracing the Sydney to Hobart
journey up the Derwent.

Anyone know of any sailing charter company's down that way who I could contact ?

Something sizeable like a 40 footer would be ideal. Skippered or Bareboat - not too fussed.

cheers Craig

Not your answer I know but, Strachan & environs on the west coast is just amazing.....go up Gordon & Franklin rivers. Visit Sarah Island & its convict past. The bad news is that Tassie need a very long time to see it all. Yeah, school hols, I know.
In Tas, buy the book The Men That God Forgot....true story, been a TV film too.

I'm excited for you all.
Bon Voyage

My wife is a travel agent and suggested this site
www.discovertasmania.com.au/what-to-do/outdoors-and-adventure/sailing
Looks like a few nice options there to consider.

Snow to 700 metres last night.

Yeah, I know it is 18 December and a week to Xmas.

You can have my yacht located in paradise (the Queensland Coast) anytime for that price.

My experience on holidays keeping the wife and kids away from places that sell stuff - priceless! (sell them on the pristine wilderness)

Add too that not needing two hotel rooms, hire car and lots of restaurants.

You might end up in front?
