Hi All, I was looking at installiing a Jib traverler on my boat untill i realised that my boat has a baby stay, However,im interested in anyones thoughts as to the possibility of running the track along the line that i have drawn on the picture of the fore deck of a Beneteau 405. (picture is not of my boat but is the same as) im interested in wether you think it would work, i would have each end of the track bent so as it is leading to the out side of the boat, so the slider would stay in that location so long as there is wid in the sail, then im thinking that as i tack to the other side the traveler would be dragged along the track as the sail slides around the baby stay and runs off to the other end of the traveler.
As i said, i am interested in anyones thoughts as to the fesability of the idea, im i being a little too optermistic or is it doable ???. My thoughts would be to use three pieces of rail , one with the large curve to go around the baby stay and hatch,, and the other two would run off the top curve and have a curve at the end and a stopper. ????
Thanks Ben405..
