Does anyone know the equivalent Loctite product to use on the grub screws on a Profurl furler?
The tube I have from profurl has gone hard, so I'll need some new stuff when the time comes to launch and re rig the boat.
In the Profurl manual it has a picture of Loctite 270 which is high strength. This seems to me to be a bit of an overkill in terms of strength.
Thoughts anyone?

You want thread lock which is a lower strength than studlock, threadlock is designed to be pulled apart with hand tools. Any engineering supply place will advise as to suitability.

In an emergency and for NON critical parts a temporary threadlocker is common liquid paper from the newsagent.

If you give Wichard (02 95160677) a call they will post a 10ml bottle out to you as a customer service gesture, they are very good with things like that!
