Does anyone know the tophat height from water to top of.mast??

Thanks alot Phil. Ive got a laser measurer so at night when im aboard i can get a really accurate reading also. Just wanna make sure i can get up to berowra under the bridges!

You should be OK Steve. Apparently even my 28 footer will clear the bridges.
The comment was "it looks like you can't but then you find you can".....bit scary.

The rail bridge is 11.8 and the road bridge is 11.4 (both mean high water springs)

I know for a fact top hats can get under the the rail bridge (but it looked ummm very close the first time....) Galini is sitting at Dolphin Bay boatshed.

For the record my mast is 9.54 from deck to masthead

I've gone under those bridges in the past with my Compass 28. So a Top Hat should be fine I would think.

Although I do confess I always avoided being anywhere near the top of the tide when I went under

I'm honestly not sure - I don't know what the waterline to deckstep height is - though yes I expect that it's fairly close (especially once you take into account the wind indicator).
However remember those height clearance are from mean high water springs and, especially during new moon periods, you won't get anywhere near those tide heights, even at high tide.

Be very aware the current running under the bridge span can be extremely quick (especially during hour 3-4 obviously).
And while yes you can wait for the turn of low tide that means you uave very little spare water under the keel going into the marina areas. Swings and roundabouts I suppose. (yes you can get in and out at LL tide but you need to keep very close to the STBD channel markers)

It is deceptively low, but it is still much higher than the bridge (14m from memory)
