I’m looking at installing a transfastner on my yacht instead of jack lines. I first saw these on the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb where the guy assured me they were developed for ocean racing. Even the guy in Newcastle who retails the gear say this is true, but I am unable to locate anyone who has actually set these up on a yacht or seen them set up on a yacht. Does anyone out there have any information regarding this system being used on a yacht? I intend to set them up along the centre line of the boat so that I can use a short lanyard. This means if I slip/fall I will only land where my feet were and not skimming along on the water beside the hull. This is no a good look for solo sailors.
