Hi all ,I have just purchased a tritan 24, finding my way around it bringing it back to life , I have read some previous posts on here regarding the triton 24 and mention of the triton (26) , I ran a tape along the decks recorded 7.63 mts, this matches the length on my rego papers, triton 24 specs say 7.48 ?

Very different boats - the triton 26 came out in the early 1960s - years before the 24 - and had a stepped cabin. Suggest you upload a photo of the triton you have and it will easily be able to be advised what you have

The Pearson Triton 26 is also a full keeler. This makes it very much different in design to the fin keeled, spade ruddered Aussie Triton 24. There was (IIRC) two versions of the Triton 24 however. There was the most common model that went through a series of minor changes over the years. There is also another Aussie built Triton that was made later that was some kind of moderised derivative of the Triton 24 that was sold under the same name. It looked similar, but (IIRC - again!) it had the same basic shape but had a distinctively different appearance as it was much more "angular" and it had a plasticy interior devoid of natural wood. Not many of these must have been made though as you rarely see them. It is quite possible that this had a slightly longer LOA than the original, so if you're boat looks oddly different to a regular Triton 24 then you may have one of these.
