Worth viewing just for the photos! Would like to hear the story behind this mishap. This was the traditional construction method for beams and I'm guessing there was a collision to cause this sort of damage.

It is very near me in my bay. Bloody expensive firewood. It is full of rot. I can't believe the starting price, even the fittings are old and clapped out.
Not even good firewood on 2nd thoughts, it would smell from the worms burning.
No, not a collision. He knew it was rotting away but continued racing. It came apart at high speed in a moderate nor easter. Pretty spectacular from some eye witnesses. I watched him trying to get it back to the mooring with his clapped out outboard. That was funny too.
