Hi all

We had the fist of our combined races with the Port Cygnet Sailing Club (down the river and round the corner) on the weekend and the replica 8m varg tww.id.au/cygnet/wilson-boat-yard.html was part of the fleet

She is a beautiful boat under sail and did ok against the modern boats

Something interesting i noted about Varg is that she does not have any staunchion, lifelines or rails around the deck so i don't imagine i would last long on her after my falling in the water while getting off the boat i race on a couple of weeks ago

otoh Don, be easier to get back on - drop the sails and everyone stands on one side and you get hauled up the shallow freeboard.

No meter boat has stanchions, lifelines or any of that other crap that would otherwise destroy the lines .......what were you thinking Don.

No good for me then unfortunately

My balance on moving sloping things is not that good without lots of stuff to hang on to

Hi LooseChange

I have no idea

That particular photo was taken elsewhere and i just used it to show what she looks like

These 2 photo's are from our race last weekend

It is hard not to like her, she has beautiful lines
