Really love vinyl. I've missed it. So I brought it here. Just a trial for a few days. Stows under seat.

I automatically thought vinyl wrapping.
I've still got all my old records in boxes somewhere. Why I don't go and get one of these and use them I have no idea.

A thread drift just for you shaggybaxter

I missed the vinyl era by a few years but I love how you can turn old records into new boating wraps

I would've thought you'd at least want it on a gimbal, but even with that, I'd think they would skip a lot?

Best in my opinion is Bluetooth with streaming or USB - no moving parts.

For the moment, I just have a waterproof floating speaker that's pretty heavy duty. Does the job nicely, but slowly dying. New boat probably could have done proper speakers fitted though, so maybe that's what I'll look at in the future.

Great idea, and good choice of vinyl as well. I'd love to try it but I think my boat would be too low in the water if I brought everything I thought I might want to listen to. Not to mention the danger of all of it melting in these warmer climes!

Yes the records are delicate and as a lot of mine are originals they're very expensive.
It was fun to do that one day at anchor but the record player and records can't stay for a cruise I've decided. That record player though has USB so I can rip all of it onto Computer then put on USB. You still get the crackle but still in a mp3 smaller format. It is fun to listen to records.
