Hi I have an older hobie 16 which we took out on the weekend and managed to snap a side stay which let the mast fall down onto the boom which subsequently snapped in two.
I am looking for a reasonably priced used boom in Perth or over east who is willing to ship it?
Can anyone help?

Try the scrap metal recyclers. I picked up a Hobie 16 mast to make a yacht boom at one. Ebay is the other choice plus Gumtree although I see some dill in Perth is looking for one there!

Head down to Nedlands Yacht club on the long weekend in September on Monday or Sunday and you will see 20+ Hobie 16 rigging up. One of them is bound to have a spare boom kicking around or will know where to get one.
Windrush in Perth is the Hobie dealer and might be worth a call as they may have a used one lying around or know where to get one. Plus I know they have at least 1 brand new 1 in stock as a last resort.
